Not A Great Year For The Sports Showdown
The sports world had to witness categorical disappointments, a few straight losses, and distressful moments during 2016. The different teams learned a lot of lessons. The best team, Golden State Warriors failed to accomplish in the NBA. It was a historic loss. The first World Series victory by the Chicago Cubs turned the heads all over the world. It was their first victory after 108 years. They won over the promising Cleveland Indians in Game Seven. It was truly an agony of defeat for Michael Martinez #1 and his team. Their massive collapse in the game was not bearable.
The team Cleveland Indians have proved the possibilities for a lesser known team to reign the sports world. And the Rio Olympics that took place in the month of August brought Ryan Lochte, the swimmer from the United States into the limelight. The player riveted the world by his idiocy. He was found drunken with some of his teammates and created commotion around the streets. He added to the embarrassment of his country. Similarly, football has also lost its charm as the most famous sports of America. Different controversies surround the team San Francisco 49ers. It is thus time to concentrate for better results in the playoffs.
